About the Board
The Board of Trustees of the San Francisco Day School is responsible for establishing
policies for the operation of the School; for monitoring and supporting the
head of School; for approving and monitoring the School’s annual budget,
which includes setting tuition and arranging for fundraising sufficient to
cover the gap between tuition income and costs; and for maintaining the long-term
health of the School.
Trustees are elected for three-year terms and may serve a maximum of two consecutive
terms. Board meetings are held monthly during the school year.
The Board committees include Buildings & Grounds, Diversity, Development,
Education, Finance, Head Support and Evaluation, Trustees, and Breakthrough San Francisco. Other ad hoc committees are created as
needed.
